Demonstration of "Sacking Out," Part 1
"Sacking out" got its name from the common use of sacks of
various kinds for desensitizing horses to frightening
stimuli. Today, some natural horsemanship trainers decry the
practice as being "violent." However, I think that sacking
out, if correctly performed, is very useful in the training
of a horse. It can be done in a quiet manner, as these horse
training video demonstrations show.
