Jeanne Dial was the first horsemanship coach whom I met who had developed an entire system around the "5 Steps of Training Your Horse," and she remains the only one I know of so far.

My daughter, Georgia Peck Schafer, spent a summer at Jeanne's house, helping out and taking instruction.

Later that winter, Georgia produced a short video about the "5 Steps" for showing to the 4-H Horse Project group that she belonged to.

Recently while digging through stuff and converting old VHS tapes to DVD, I came across Georgia's video and thought it would make good material for this website.

Georgia was a teenager when she wrote, directed, and produced the video. That's her brother Ely riding the horse, and the horse is "The Elusive Zipper," now owned by Pat Hauschild.
